McClarnon: 'I won't be a WAG again'

Atomic Kitten singer Liz McClarnon has said she would never date a footballer again.

The popstar, who split from Bristol City striker Lee Trundle in 2007, said it was "very lonely" having a relationship with a soccer star.

"There are a lot of fixtures to play and a fair bit of travelling, so sometimes it was hard to see each other," she told The Sun.

"My relationship with Lee sort of came to an end. We didn't love each other anymore and the split was amicable."

When asked what she thought of other women who dated footballers, she replied: "Some of them are nice and the girls I know are lovely.

"But you hear about others who really give them a bad name."

McClarnon also revealed that she is planning to revive her solo career and has begun work on a new "poppy" album.
