In an interview with The Independent, the actress credited her stylist with keeping her in fashion.
She said: "It would be jeans and T-shirts all the way if it wasn't for my stylist giving me stuff to wear."
Liu, who voices a character in upcoming animated film Kung Fu Panda, revealed that she found voiceover acting enjoyable.
"I loved it," she said. "I love that you're not being put through hair and makeup and wardrobe. This way you just have to focus on your intention for where you want to take this character."
Kung Fu Panda is scheduled for release in the UK next Friday.
