Winehouse: 'There was nothing to live for'

Amy Winehouse has revealed that her problems with drink and drugs are a result of feeling that she has "nothing to live for".

The singer said she felt bored and empty after husband Blake Fielder-Civil was jailed on suspicion of assault and perverting the course of justice last November.

Winehouse, who is believed to be suffering from the early stages of emphysema, told Rolling Stone: "To be honest, my husband's away, I'm bored, I'm young. I felt like there was nothing to live for. It's just been a low ebb."

Although she spent a short stint in rehab earlier this year, the 24-year-old insisted that she has yet to make a genuine attempt to kick her addictions.

She said: "I've never been to rehab, I mean, done it properly. I'm young, and I'm in love, and I get my nuts off sometimes. But it's never been like 'Amy, get your life together'."
