Katona's mum denies book deal claims

Kerry Katona's mother has denied reports that she plans to betray her daughter with a £100,000 book deal.

Sue Katona was branded "bitter and twisted" by Kerry's PR man Max Clifford after the Sunday Mirror claimed she was set to make shocking accusations about her daughter. The paper said Sue's book would allege that Kerry once worked as a prostitute.

However, in an interview with the News of the World, Sue explained: "I haven't got a book deal. I'd love £100,000 but I'm totally skint - my Sky and my internet have been cut off. I've got nothing."

Kerry and her husband Mark Croft currently have no contact with Sue after she sold stories about her daughter to tabloid newspapers.

Sue added: "Claims that I've written a book about Kerry being a prostitute are utter rubbish. Kerry never ever sold her body. There were even claims that I'd tried it on with Mark and Kerry's first husband Brian McFadden. That's just sick. I may have not been the best mum in the world but that's total lies."
