Gazza will propose to ex-wife Sheryl

Paul Gascoigne is planning to propose to his ex-wife Sheryl once he has proved to her that he can stay sober.

The troubled football legend has been receiving support from Sheryl as he tries to beat his alcohol demons in The Priory clinic.

Gazza, who has apologised to Sheryl for his violent behaviour during their two-year relationship, was spotted kissing his ex on a family day out with their son Regan recently.

A source told the Daily Star Sunday: "Paul is feeling better than he has for months and it's all down to Sheryl. They are falling in love all over again and he couldn't be happier. Sheryl was really upset when she saw just how ill Paul was.

"She realised how much she cared about him and has managed to forgive him for everything that happened in the past. She has offered Paul a place to stay once he leaves the clinic and they will take things from there. Paul says that, once he has been sober for 12 months, he will ask Sheryl to marry him."
