Noel Fielding befriends U2's The Edge

The Mighty Boosh star Noel Fielding has become friends with U2 guitarist The Edge, The Sun reports.

The surreal comic reportedly discussed music industry experiences with The Edge ahead of the Mighty Boosh band's first live gig in Kent this weekend.

A source said: "Noel and The Edge have become really pally. The Edge has been giving Noel lots of guidance and advice about the band over the phone.

"He really loves the show and is keen to help out Noel any way he can."

Fielding is also working on a Boosh album, which Mark Ronson is rumoured to be producing.
