Lancaster, Stewart hoping for another child

Penny Lancaster has confirmed that she and Rod Stewart are trying for another baby together.

The couple already have one son, two-year-old Alistair, and now feel that the time is right for another new addition to the family.

"We are trying for another baby," Penny told The Mirror. "Another little boy would be wonderful but I'd also love a little girl - one of each would be perfect."

Lancaster explained that they wanted to start trying earlier but eventually decided to concentrate on planning their 2007 wedding and her appearance on Strictly Come Dancing. The new baby would be Rod's eighth child.

"We wanted another but thought it best to hold out until after the wedding and Strictly Come Dancing," she said. "Now it's a case of 'wait and see'."
