Winehouse waxwork to join Tussauds

A waxwork of Amy Winehouse will go on show at Madame Tussauds later this month.

Sculptors have recreated the troubled star's trademark beehive hairdo and even included her collection of tattoos on the figure.

It will be added to a gallery of pop and rock stars - including The Beatles, Jimi Hendrix, Beyonce and Justin Timberlake - in late July.

"We are really pleased to be creating Amy," general manager Edward Fuller said in a statement. "She is a real icon in modern British music, a continual award winner, and an internationally recognised star widely requested by our guests."

Winehouse has recently been making headlines for her controversial behaviour at the Glastonbury festival.
