Trump hits out at 'disloyal' Hathaway

Donald Trump has accused Anne Hathaway of deserting boyfriend Raffaello Follieri.

The actress dumped Follieri earlier this month following his involvement in a series of financial scandals.

The businessman was later arrested on suspicion of fraud for allegedly conning investors out of millions of dollars in a bogus real estate scheme.

He was also arrested for bouncing a $215,000 cheque to a PR firm in April.

Trump told ABCNews: "After [his legal troubles] she was gone... and fast! Sadly, that seems to be the way life works."

He later added to Access Hollywood: "She hasn't remained very loyal to him, has she? So when he had plenty of money, she liked him, but then after that, not as good, right?"

Hathaway dated the Italian property developer for four years.
