Kylie "blown away" to receive OBE

Kylie Minogue has revealed that she was "totally blown away" to receive her OBE at Buckingham Palace.

The popstar wore a cream Yves Saint Laurent dress decorated with large stars as she collected the honour from Prince Charles.

Minogue, who learned in December that she was to be awarded for services to music, described the ceremony as "overwhelming" and "emotional".

She said: "I was totally blown away to receive this... It makes me feel both humble and proud to be recognised for doing a job that I love so much."

The 40-year-old revealed that she was "slightly less nervous" about talking to Prince Charles because they had met on previous occasions.

She added to the BBC: "He asked me what I'm up to at the moment and said he is happy to see me better."
