James McAvoy has admitted that he wants fans to stop approaching him in public toilets.

The Scottish actor, who is best known for his roles in Atonement and The Last King of Scotland, said that the awkward exchanges make him feel uncomfortable.

He revealed: "I find it disconcerting when you're urinating and the guy next to you goes, 'Hey man, love the movie', and I'm like, 'Er...Thanks.' It's even worse when they try to shake your hand."

McAvoy is currently promoting his role as hero Wesley Gibson in new movie Wanted. He recently claimed that he hated having to take up bodybuilding for the film.
