Mel B wants children with Belafonte

Mel B has confirmed that she is planning to have children with her husband Stephen Belafonte.

The Spice Girl revealed that she is keen to expand her family with movie director Stephen within the next few years.

"Yeah, we definitely want children," Mel told Star magazine. "Not just yet - I think in a few years, definitely."

Mel married Belafonte in June last year, but did not announce her happy news until August.

She added: "I think marriage agrees with me - I'm happy all the time! We're the best of friends, which I think is one of the most important things in a successful marriage."

The star already has a nine-year-old daughter Phoenix with ex-husband Jimmy Gulzar, as well as 15-month-old daughter Angel from her short-lived relationship with Eddie Murphy.
