Nielsen has £50,000 surgery on German TV

Bridgette Nielsen has undergone £50,000 of surgery on German TV show From Old To New.

The former Playboy model is having her cosmetic work screened on the RTL network across four episodes.

During the first show, which aired on Sunday, viewers watched fat being sucked from the 44-year-old's hips.

Nielsen will have a facelift, eyelift, liposuction and breast surgery on the programme.

"I know I am the first female celebrity in the world who has allowed herself to be filmed like that in an operating theatre," she said.

"I know I will be breaking a taboo. But I'm sure that it will provoke a new discussion. It's time things change. I feel 30 and want to look that way again."

She added: "The secrecy in Hollywood is annoying. You can see that the stars do not age naturally. It's not right that the fans, the normal women, are lied to."
