Hilton denies nightclub attack rumours

Paris Hilton has dismissed reports that she was punched in the face by a party-goer at an LA nightclub.

It had been claimed that the socialite was left with a bruised cheek after she was attacked during a personal appearance at Coco de Ville on Tuesday.

However, she insisted that the rumours were invented as a publicity stunt, telling E! News: "I had a great time and didn't even have an argument with anyone. I don't know where they come up with this stuff. It's a completely made up story.

"Maybe [it was for] publicity for the club. It was my first time there, so I think someone just put that story out there so the place would get a bunch of press."
