Brinkley reaches divorce settlement

Christie Brinkley has reached a divorce settlement with her fourth husband Peter Cook.

The ex-supermodel has won custody of the couple's two children and agreed to pay Cook $2.1 million. She will keep the 18 properties that she purchased in the Hamptons during their ten-year marriage.

Architect Cook confessed during the trial that he had an affair with his 18-year-old assistant and spent $3,000 a month on internet pornography.

Brinkley described Cook's revelations as "humiliating for all of us" and their divorce "bittersweet".

She said: "It's to me a very bittersweet moment because it really is the death of a marriage. I'm very pleased with the results today. I was here fighting for custody."
