Beatty 'searched Madonna's rubbish'

Warren Beatty allegedly searched through ex-lover Madonna's rubbish bins to see if she was cheating on him.

The popstar's brother Christopher Ciccone has claimed in his upcoming tell-all book that the actor was paranoid about his then-girlfriend seeing other men.

"Warren, operator that he has always been, had the sense to recognise his equal in Madonna," Ciccone wrote in Life With My Sister Madonna.

Beatty, 71, dated the singer for a year after meeting her on the set of Dick Tracy. He married actress Annette Bening following their split.

Madonna's publicist Liz Rosenberg noted that the book, scheduled for release next week, will "remove" any chance of Ciccone reconciling with his sister.
