Ronnie Wood's wife speaks about his 'affair'

Ronnie Wood's wife has spoken about her heartbreak following the news that the rocker has run off with a Russian bargirl.

Ekaterina Ivanova, 18, has been staying with the Rolling Stone at his cottage in County Kildare, Ireland, in recent days. The pair met in April at a bar where Ekaterina had been working.

Jo Wood admitted that she feels powerless to help her husband as he continues down a path of self-destruction. However, she insisted that she is not worried about Ronnie's relationship with Ekaterina - as he will be too drunk to have sex.

"It's so sad. You're watching one of the people you most love in the world self-destruct," Jo told the Daily Star. "It's all connected to his drinking. When he's in a state like that, he is no good to anybody and he is certainly not capable of a love affair.

"How do you help an alcoholic? They have to want to get better and they have to want to go to rehab. But how many times does it take to hit rock-bottom? He has spent the last 30 years in the limelight, playing stadiums to 80,000 people. That's a massive adrenaline rush, so how do you replace that?"
