Ronaldo splits from Spanish girlfriend

Cristiano Ronaldo has split from his Spanish girlfriend Nereida Gallardo, according to a report in the Portuguese media.
The news comes just one week after Nereida reportedly begged the Manchester United footballer to stay in the UK because she wanted to launch a showbiz career in the country.
Portuguese newspaper 24 Horas said that the break-up is a "secret of the gods", but went on to claim that Ronaldo was tired of reading reports about the model's past relationships. It has also been suggested that Nereida did not get along with Cristiano's mother Dolores.
Gallardo has now travelled to Ibiza with a friend as she tries to recover from the heartbreak.
