Love blasts Pumpkins frontman Corgan

Courtney Love has slated Smashing Pumpkins frontman Billy Corgan after he allegedly refused to attend her daughter's 16th birthday party.

The Hole singer posted an angry message on an internet forum claiming that her daughter Frances Bean was "sobbing" because of Corgan's snub.

Love wrote: "A sweet sixteen is a big event and I think she looked upon you as family. I know she did, as a trustworthy and wise (child), and you can't lay your s*** on a child of nine, and you as a man of 40 - my child sobbing, due to you, is unacceptable. I hate stating this on some random public forum, but the line is the kid, man."

Corgan and Frances Bean, the daughter of late Nirvana singer Kurt Cobain, reportedly grew close when the Smashing Pumpkins rocker moved into Love's Los Angeles home in 2006 to help revive her music career.

Love also claimed that My Chemical Romance frontman Gerard Way insisted that his bandmate cancel his honeymoon so they could attend the party.

"Gerard Way, who would do it in five seconds and has even asked and begged for his bandmate to cancel out on the honeymoon of his so he can do it, made sure to promise to be there," she added.
