Moss spent £20K on Hince before split

Kate Moss splashed out on new carpets to please her boyfriend Jamie Hince - just weeks before he moved out of her home.

The supermodel parted with £20,000 for deep pile snow carpets after Hince complained that the rush matting at her home was irritating his sensitive feet. Friends of the couple had joked that Jamie was "allergic to Kate's house".

A source told The Mirror: "Jamie loved the new look and was really touched by her efforts. But, sadly, that didn't stop him from packing his bags and leaving a few weeks later. Let's just say that after spending all the money, Kate wasn't thrilled by the sudden turn of events.

"Both of them are hoping for a reconciliation, though, and Kate is obviously keen to get value for money from the new carpets!"

Hince is currently on tour with his Kills bandmate Alison Mosshart following constant rows with Kate. Meanwhile, Moss is on holiday in Sardinia with her close pal Davinia Taylor.
