Posh: 'I don't love attention'

Victoria Beckham has claimed that she does not enjoy being constantly in the media spotlight.

In an interview with Allure, the former singer stated that being the centre of attention made her "nervous".

She said: "I'm not the kind of person that stands there and loves the attention. It might look that way, but it makes me very, very nervous.

"As you can see, I'm a normal-looking girl, and I just make the best of what I have. I'm not out-of-the-ordinary-looking at all - I'm incredibly ordinary."

She added that her moody image was down to her time in the Spice Girls.

"I didn't smile very much; it was quite pouty," she commented. "I was famous for wearing a little black Gucci dress. [Except] it wasn't a little black Gucci dress, it was a little black High Street dress.

"It was incredibly cheap. I just accessorised it well and had the pose that went with it. And it stuck."
