Paul Nicholls has admitted that he has no plans to return to the wild ways of his past.
The former EastEnders actor, who played Joe Wicks in the soap, revealed that he decided to make changes to his life once he started drinking alone.
"Getting battered by yourself is never a good sign," Paul told New! magazine. "So I stopped that."
Nicholls also promised that his days as a womaniser are over after he tied the knot with his long-term partner last month. He has not revealed her name to the press.
"I don't even look at other women now," he said. "She's my soulmate and I would never do anything to hurt her - and she knows that."
Paul returns to screens in new ITV1 medical drama Harley Street on Thursday night.
