Goodrem inspired by Newton-John's success

Delta Goodrem has admitted that she wants to match the Stateside success of her fellow countrywoman Olivia Newton-John.

Both Australian stars won cancer battles and Goodrem revealed that she often goes to the Grease actress when she's in need of help.

Goodrem told Reuters: "Olivia's been an incredible guiding light with me. She's always given me really great advice. She's beautiful and we have a beautiful friendship."

The 23-year-old recently duetted with Newton-John on the track 'Right Here With You' at the Los Angeles Gay Pride parade.

Goodrem is about to launch her album Delta in the US in a bid to crack the tough American market.
