The Babyshambles singer was not present to enter a plea relating to an incident in which he allegedly pulled a camera from the neck of a female photographer.
Doherty is accused of causing £200 worth of damage to Cath Mead's camera lens during a scuffle in Crewkerne, Somerset last summer.
Yeovil magistrates issued a warrant for his arrest after he failed to appear in court for the second time.
"I assume that this is the correct address we have for Mr Doherty," said Nick Bernard, chairman of the bench. "He should have, therefore, received the letters stating when he should attend court."
Doherty recently spent 29 days of a 14-week sentence in Wormwood Scrubs prison after breaching probation orders.
