A report in OK! magazine claimed that a settlement was reached this week which would allow Spears visitation rights to Sean Preston and Jayden James. The popstar is currently allowed to see her sons two days a week and have one monitored overnight stay.
Federline's lawyer Mark Vincent Kaplan said in a statement: "All parties have agreed to the following: Kevin will retain sole legal and physical custody of Sean Preston and Jayden James.
"Britney will continue to have visitation rights which may increase over time. The agreement will be presented to the court in the morning for approval by the commissioner."
He added: "Kevin is ecstatic and the boys are thriving."
Spears lost custody of her sons last October after her public behaviour became increasingly erratic.
She lost all visitation rights for a period in January when she was taken to hospital amid fears for her mental health.
