Pete Doherty's arrest warrant revoked

A warrant issued for Pete Doherty's arrest has been withdrawn, a spokesman for the Babyshambles frontman has confirmed.

The singer had been wanted by police yesterday after he failed to attend a second court hearing for criminal damage charges.

Doherty has been accused of causing £200 worth of damage to a female photographer's camera in an altercation last summer, and had been expected to make a plea in court this week.

The star has now agreed to appear in court on July 24. Following the intervention of his legal team, the arrest warrant no longer stands.

Doherty's spokesman said: "The matter has been resolved and the warrant has been withdrawn."
