Patrick Swayze: 'I'm a miracle'

Patrick Swayze has described his response to pancreatic cancer treatment as a "miracle".

The actor, who was diagnosed with the disease earlier this year, has been responding well to chemotherapy at Stanford University Medical Centre in California.

Paparazzi caught up with him in LA as he prepared to board a flight to Chicago to begin shooting new TV series The Beast, in which he plays an undercover FBI agent.

When asked about his health, Swayze smiled and gave the thumbs up, saying: "I'm a miracle, dude, I don't know why."

The 55-year-old recently assured fans that he is "winning the battle" against cancer.
