Model 'friend' sheds tears for Fielder-Civil

German model Sophie Schandorff sparked further rumours of a romantic connection with Amy Winehouse's husband yesterday.

Schandorff caused raised eyebrows by shedding tears at Blake Fielder-Civil's court hearing after he was sentenced to 27 months behind bars. Winehouse, meanwhile, chose not to attend court to support her husband.

It is not the first time that the pair's behaviour has aroused suspicion. In April, Blake and Sophie mouthed "I love you" to each other at another court hearing. At the time, Fielder-Civil and Winehouse were said to be close to a divorce, and Amy had been romantically linked to Alex Haines, her manager's assistant.

Sentencing Fielder-Civil for GBH and perverting the course of justice yesterday, judge David Radford said that he had behaved in a "gratuitous, cowardly and disgraceful" way.
