Basshunter knocked back by British girls

Swedish dance star Basshunter has admitted that he isn't having much luck with British women.

The 23-year-old singer/DJ, whose real name is Jonas Altberg, was knocked back by a group of British girls while partying on Saturday night.

Speaking to DS backstage at T4 On The Beach, he said: "I went out for a few drinks and I tried to have a conversation with a few girls.

"I said, 'How are you doing?' and they just said, 'Sorry, I've got a boyfriend'. I just wanted a nice conversation and they totally told me to b***er off."

However, the rejection hasn't affected the star's fondness for British women. "I love the British girls because you have to really work," he said. "When it's too easy, it's not fun. The British girls really give me a challenge."
