Bale sister, mum keep quiet on arrest

Christian Bale's family has declined to comment on his arrest for allegedly assaulting his mother and sister.

A man answering the door at the home of mother Jenny in Bournemouth said she had nothing to say after the Batman star was detained then bailed.

Meanwhile, the actor's sister Sharon shouted at reporters that "it's a family matter".

The actor is alleged to have "lashed out" while at the Dorchester Hotel in London on Sunday night.
