Doctors advised the Canadian singer to accept wheelchair assistance at airports after she sustained a heel injury as she was about to embark on her recent European tour.
Alanis has admitted that she was disgusted over how she was treated by wheelchair handlers while on her travels. She now has a new-found empathy for those who require assistance on a permanent basis.
"I have a memory in Italy where this one gentleman was pushing me really quickly towards this post and he was on his cellphone, so I screamed at him," Alanis explained.
