Connelly the new face of Revlon

Jennifer Connelly will be the new face of Revlon cosmetics.

An Oscar winner for her role in A Beautiful Mind, Connelly follows in the footsteps of Halle Berry, Jessica Alba, Lucy Liu, Eva Mendes and Claudia Schiffer, all of whom have backed the makeup brand.

Connelly, who has a son with husband Paul Bettany, will front global marketing campaigns and represent the firm at fundraisers.

The actress said in a statement: "Revlon is one of the great iconic brands of today and I am thrilled to be part of a company that has done so much for women around the world."

David Kennedy, the company's president and CEO, said: "[Connelly] is an accomplished wife, mother and actress and her successes complement the spirit of the Revlon brand."
