Katona 'rows with Croft over nanny'

Kerry Katona has ignored calls for her to cut down on spending - by offering her nanny a 50% pay rise.

Nanny Gemma was being paid £26,000 per year by the reality TV star, but has now been promised an extra £13,000 after threatening to quit.

According to the News of the World, Katona's decision led to a furious row with her husband Mark Croft, who walked out with their youngest child, Max. Croft could not understand why Kerry had splashed out on the nanny when she is currently on the verge of bankruptcy.

"It made no sense - but when Kerry has problems she just throws money at them and hopes they will vanish," a source told the News of the World. "And that infuriated Mark so much this time he stormed off for a couple of days."

Mark has reportedly told Kerry that she needs to spend more time with her children, rather than relying on staff members.

The source added: "She knows she needs to get her act together and focus on being a good mum and a good wife and she's terrified of losing him."
