Shia LaBeouf has been arrested on suspicion of drink driving after he was involved in a car crash.
The actor, who recently starred in Indiana Jones And The Kingdom Of The Crystal Skull, made a left turn and collided with an oncoming vehicle in Hollywood in the early hours of Sunday.
The 22-year-old underwent surgery at Cedars-Sinai Medical Centre after sustaining injuries to his head, hand and left knee. A female passenger and the driver of the other car were treated for minor injuries.
LA County Sheriff Sergeant Scott Wolf said: "It was immediately apparent to officers on the scene that LaBeouf was intoxicated and he was subsequently placed under arrest.
"He was arrested for a misdemeanor. No prints were taken and no photos were taken."
LaBeouf was booked last November after refusing to leave a Chicago drug store while drunk after a night on the town. A misdemeanour criminal trespassing charge was later dropped.
