Sean Bean spends night in cells

Sean Bean was arrested last week on suspicion of assaulting his wife.

The actor, 49, spent Thursday night in custody after officers were called to his home in Belsize Park, North London.

His wife Georgina Sutcliffe telephoned police to report that she was being attacked, according to the Daily Mail.

However, she subsequently dropped the allegations and no further action was taken.

Sutcliffe, who married Bean in February, told the newspaper: "Everything is okay. Everything was blown out of proportion. Sean is fine and I'm fine. There's no problem between us."
