Lindsay Lohan in motorcycle accident

Lindsay Lohan was taken to hospital in the early hours of Saturday morning after being hit by a motorcycle.

According to the New York Post, Lohan was taken to Manhattan's Beth Israel Medical Centre where she was treated then released at 4am.

Lohan's father Michael is quoted as saying: "She's not hurt. That's all I really care about."

However, her publicist Leslie Sloane told E! News that "nothing happened".

The Mean Girls actress had been out partying with her girlfriend Samantha Ronson when the incident occurred.
