Doherty feels "so sorry" for Winehouse

Pete Doherty has revealed that he feels "so sorry" for Amy Winehouse.

The 'Rehab' singer, who has reportedly been diagnosed with the early stages of emphysema, was rushed to hospital on Monday after apparently suffering a reaction to medication.

However, her dad Mitch has claimed that she collapsed after her drink was spiked with ecstasy.

Winehouse has also experienced problems in her personal life, with husband Blake Fielder-Civil recently sentenced to 27 months in jail for assault and attempting to pervert the course of justice.

Doherty told Loaded: "She's not been married for a year and her old man's locked up. It's a lonely life and she's completely hounded by the papers. I feel so, so sorry for her."
