Parker, Broderick 'living separate lives'

Sarah Jessica Parker and husband Matthew Broderick have been "living separate lives for years", according to reports.

The couple, who married in 1997 and have five-year-old son James Wilkie, are said to have fallen out of love "a long time ago".

Broderick was last week rumoured to have had a three-month affair with a 25-year-old youth counsellor, leaving the Sex And The City star "devastated".

A source is quoted as saying: "Sarah and Matthew have been struggling for years. Now that news of Matthew's cheating has broken, they have decided to make things work - especially for the sake of their son."

The insider added that Parker had admitted that she and Broderick "had been out of love for a long time but remain married for [James]."

However, other reports suggest that the pair are still "going strong", with a friend telling OK!: "[They] have never had a conventional marriage, but it totally works for the two of them. Sure they fight like every other couple, but they love each other and their little boy.

"They are so private and hate all this silly gossip. At the end of the day the only opinion Sarah cares about is Matthew's and vice versa."
