Geldof blames 'creativity' for mistakes

Peaches Geldof has defended herself against recent criticism, claiming that her mistakes are a result of "creativity".

The 19-year-old daughter of former Boomtown Rat Bob has rarely been out of the press in recent months. Last week, it was claimed that she had collapsed following a drug overdose, but her spokesman insisted that she lost consciousness after accidentally inhaling ammonia fumes from hair dye.

Speaking about her recent bad press, Peaches complained: "People have pre-conceived ideas of me - they can be so negative. Creative people can be allowed to make mistakes."

Geldof was caught up in a drugs controversy in May after a video which appeared to show her purchasing illegal substances was leaked to the press. She has also been accused of shoplifting twice in recent months, but insisted that there had been a misunderstanding on both occasions.
