Publicist: 'Liz Taylor is fine'

Elizabeth Taylor's publicist Dick Guttman has said that the actress "is fine" following reports of ill health.

US tabloids claimed yesterday that Taylor had suffered from congestive heart failure and was on a life support machine.

Commenting on the rumours, Guttman told People: "The rumours about her health are dramatic, overstated and untrue.

"Her hospital visit was precautionary."

He added: "At present she is surrounded by family, friends and fabulous jewels."
