Gazza visited by mystery woman in hotel

Paul Gascoigne spent hours in a hotel room with a mystery woman this week, just days after pledging his future to ex-wife Sheryl.

The football legend was reunited with Sheryl last week after being discharged from The Priory rehab clinic, where he had been receiving treatment for alcoholism. Reports claimed that they had even discussed remarriage.

However, Gazza's commitment to Sheryl has now been questioned after an unnamed woman was spotted leaving his room at a London hotel on Wednesday evening. She then returned two hours later for another meeting with Paul.

Gascoigne spent the next day with his long-time friend Jimmy Gardner. Confronted by The Mirror over the mystery woman, he insisted: "There was no girl, it's all lies. I've just been with Jimmy the whole time."

Asked about his relationship with Sheryl, Paul added: "Things are going great - give us 50 grand and we'll tell you all about it."

The newspaper also tracked down the woman in question, who denied spending any time with Paul and insisted that she did not know him. She said: "I wasn't there. It wasn't me."
