Worrall Thompson apologises for killer recipe

Antony Worrall Thompson has apologised after advising fans to use a poisonous weed when making salads.

Writing a recipe for Healthy & Organic Living magazine, the TV chef recommended the wild plant henbane, which can cause hallucinations, violent seizures and death.

The publication has now written to all of its subscribers and posted a message on its website after Worrall Thompson's blunder was spotted.

"Antony is very sorry for causing confusion and had a quite different plant in mind," the magazine said.

Worrall Thompson added: "I apologise to all those I have upset. It is one of those embarrassing moments that I regret. It was one of those clumsy mistakes. I have scribbled something down and it has been misconstrued."
