Attorney Michael C. Miller told Us magazine: "[Mary-Kate] had nothing whatsoever to do with the drugs found in Heath Ledger's home or his body, and she does not know where he obtained them."
Earlier this week, the New York Post reported that Olsen was refusing to cooperate with investigators until she was granted immunity from prosecution.
"Everyone has been very eager to help, saying what a great guy Heath Ledger was, everyone except Mary-Kate, who has refused to speak," said a source.
Miller commented: "We don't know the source of the information being quoted in the media regarding the Government's inquiry, but these descriptions are incomplete and inaccurate."
He continued: "Regarding the Government's investigation, at Ms. Olsen's request, we have provided the Government with relevant information including facts in the chronology of events surrounding Mr. Ledger's death and the fact that Ms. Olsen does not know the source of the drugs Mr. Ledger consumed."
Ledger died in January from an accidental overdose of prescription drugs and OxyContin. The masseuse who found the actor's body phoned Olsen before contacting the police.
