Guy Pearce rules out having children

Guy Pearce has confirmed that he is not planning to have children with his wife Kate Mestitz.

The actor admitted that he would not adjust easily to parenthood and believes that his kids would suffer as a result.

"We'd be on the news if we had kids," Pearce told The Times. "We'd do something horrible to them or leave them somewhere."

He added: "No, I shouldn't say that we'd do horrible things to them. I just mean that, well, I couldn't give them the constant love that they need."

Pearce has achieved success in Hollywood since appearing as Mike Young in Aussie soap Neighbours. In April, the star admitted that he "got lucky" following his Erinsborough stint.
