Angelina Jolie denies IVF rumours

Angelina Jolie has denied reports that her twins Vivienne and Knox were conceived through IVF.

Shortly after the birth, US magazines claimed that Jolie and partner Brad Pitt used in vitro fertilisation because they were desperate to have more children as soon as possible.

The couple already had one biological daughter and three adopted children.

Quashing the rumours, Jolie told People: "If they had been conceived though IVF, we would have been happy to discuss it.

"But we have been fortunate never to have had fertility problems."

Jolie gave birth to Vivienne and Knox on July 12.
