Mendes advert boycotted by US TV

A Calvin Klein perfume advert featuring Eva Mendes has been boycotted by several US TV broadcasters.

The provocative Secret Obsession commercial shows the Hitch star rolling around in bed and caressing her breasts.

Cable networks have decided to air a censored clip after the 9pm watershed, while an uncut version will be shown outside the US.

Calvin Klein Inc. president Tom Murry defended the clip, telling the New York Daily News that the reaction was exactly what the firm expected.

He said: "We believe the commercial is exceptional and hits the mark for Secret Obsession. We are anticipating a very successful global launch."
