The two-minute clip, which features Hilton on a sun lounger in a leopard skin bathing suit, pokes fun at Republican candidate John McCain.
Hilton featured in a commercial organised by McCain's campaign last week, which attacked election rival Barack Obama for being a celebrity.
Speaking by the poolside, the socialite says in the video: "Hey America, I'm Paris Hilton and I'm a celebrity too.
"Only I'm not from the olden days and I'm not promising change like that other guy. I'm just hot."
She continues: "That wrinkly white-haired guy used me in his campaign ad, which I guess means I'm running for president. So thank you for the endorsement white-haired dude.
"I want America to know that I'm like totally ready to lead."
After commenting on America's energy crisis, she jokes: "I'll see you at the debates, bitches," before adding: "Now if you'll excuse me I have to go out and pick a vice-president. I'm thinking Rihanna."
