Dolly Parton defends Lohan, Spears

Dolly Parton has said the public should give Lindsay Lohan and Britney Spears "a break".

The veteran country singer commented on the media coverage surrounding the pair during a concert at LA's Greek Theatre.

According to ImNotObsessed, Parton told her audience: "Poor little Britney Spears and Lindsay Lohan. Ain't it awful?

"If those little girls slept with as many men as they say in the tabloids, why their little butts would have more fingerprints than the FBI!"

She added: "I kinda feel sorry for them. We should give those two a break."

Later in the concert, Parton commented on members of the audience wearing T-shirts bearing the slogan 'Dolly For President'.

The singer joked: "I think there have been enough boobs in the White House."
