Speaking to Esquire magazine, the Gavin & Stacey co-creator and star said that fame had changed "every aspect of my life".
"The stakes feel so much higher than they were," he is quoted as saying. "It's inconceivable to me that I could be on the cover of a magazine, because people on a magazine don't look like me."
Corden also spoke about the importance of faith, saying: "I would never claim to be 'a good Christian boy', but I'd always say I had a faith.
"And you know, 'Be nice to people and don't do to others what they wouldn't do to you, and don't kill people and don't covet thy neighbour's wife' - these are all good ways to live your life."
