Designer dismisses Moss, Campbell

Designer Roberto Cavalli has described models such as Kate Moss and Naomi Campbell as "pieces of wood".

The fashion legend, who has dressed Brigitte Bardot, Sharon Stone and Jennifer Lopez, said he prefers to spend time with music stars like Victoria Beckham and P. Diddy.

He told the Observer Food Monthly: "For me, models are just pieces of wood that I carve to make clothes look beautiful.

"There are thousands of models like all other models. Naomi Campbell is the same way."

Talking about Moss, the 68-year-old said he does not think she "has what it takes to be a true star".
